About
A reading aid for the fine print.
Service agreements are written to be signed, not read. ServiceAgreement.org slows the reading down to one clause at a time and does the arithmetic the agreement leaves to you.
What it does
- Turns your answers about an agreement into a one-page term sheet: price per month, first-year and committed totals, the cost of leaving at each point in the term, the renewal date and the last day to cancel.
- Marks each clause Clear, Watch or Ask, and writes the question to ask before signing. The notes lean on FTC consumer advice and federal rules, each linked on the Sources page.
- Checks whether the FTC's Cooling-Off Rule looks likely to cover a sale, and counts the three business days.
What it does not do
- It does not give legal advice or say whether a term is legal or enforceable where you live.
- It does not read uploaded contracts: you answer the questions, so nothing you have not typed is stored.
- It does not review, rate or name companies, and nobody here contacts a company for you.
- There is no AI in it and no staff behind it: the same rules apply to every answer.
Who runs it
ServiceAgreement.org is a self-help website run by WeldonPC, a business. The .org name does not make it a nonprofit, a charity, a law firm or a government agency. It is not affiliated with the FTC or any government body.
